Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan    are working together to make India powerful, developed and self-reliant . The two states are  natural economic partners. He said that Rajasthan’s developed textile and gems-and-jewellery sectors, combined with Madhya Pradesh’s organic cotton production capacity, textile parks, and strong manufacturing ecosystem, can create a powerful value chain. Work is progressing rapidly on the Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal National River Linking Project, which will transform the future of both states.

The project, estimated at nearly Rs 1 lakh crore, will be funded 90% by the Government of India, while both states will contribute 5% each. Dr. Yadav remarked that the relationship between the two states has traditionally been one of “roti-bati” (deep cultural bonding) and is now also strengthened through water cooperation.

The Chief Minister was addressing investors from Rajasthan during the Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh held in Jaipur on Saturday. He  extended greetings to the people of Rajasthan on the state’s foundation day (19 March) and the festival of Gangaur.

Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, India is witnessing unprecedented progress and states are resolving resource-sharing issues amicably. He praised the entrepreneurial skills of Rajasthan’s business community, noting that they have earned global recognition for their business acumen. He added that the Madhya Pradesh government is simplifying rules and regulations in the industrial sector to encourage investment.

The Chief Minister said the state government has introduced 26 new sector-specific policies to attract industrial investment. Policies for space and artificial intelligence sectors are also being prepared.

Madhya Pradesh is among India’s power-surplus states and is emerging as a Green, Clean and Solar Energy Capital. Electricity generated in the state is now powering the metro system in Delhi. Domestic electricity is available in the state at approximately Rs 2.90 per unit.

He said rapid progress is also being made in mining and industrial development, while the number of medical colleges is increasing to promote medical tourism. Land is being provided at Rs 1 lease under the PPP model for setting up medical colleges and hospitals.

Madhya Pradesh is also advancing in milk production. The government is encouraging the establishment of large gaushalas (cow shelters) with capacities ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 cattle. The per-cow subsidy has been increased from Rs20 to Rs 40.

Efforts are also underway to improve cattle breeds and veterinary services. The government has launched a scheme to provide free milk packets to school children.

Dr. Yadav said there was a time when people believed industries could not sustain in Madhya Pradesh, but today the state is among the fastest-growing states in India. To encourage industrial investment, the government has allocated Rs 6,104 crore for industry promotion and Rs 1 lakh crore for infrastructure development. The Invest MP 3.0 single-window system is among the country’s leading digital investment platforms.

Under the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Promotion Policy 2025, investors in the textile and apparel sectors are receiving attractive incentives. India’s first Manufacturing Zone for Power and Renewable Energy Equipment is being developed in Narmadapuram district.

Capital subsidies are being provided for large investments in sectors such as hotels and hospitals. The state has also announced a Tiger Safari and airport project in Rewa.

Under the state’s aviation policy, airlines are being provided Viability Gap Funding (VGF) of up to Rs 15 lakh per flight to expand air connectivity. Helicopter services are also being introduced within and outside the state under the PM Shri Heli Service initiative to promote tourism.

The Chief Minister also said that Madhya Pradesh has developed a model with Uttar Pradesh for balanced electricity distribution, with a power plant near Morena to enable shared power usage for six months each. He emphasised that Rajasthan’s entrepreneurial spirit and Madhya Pradesh’s rich resources can together transform Central India into an industrial powerhouse.

Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are like a family: Minister Shri  Chaudhary

Shri Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary, Minister of Public Health Engineering and Groundwater in the Government of Rajasthan, said that Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are like members of one family. Both state governments jointly resolved the issue of water sharing through mutual coordination.

This will ensure sufficient drinking water and irrigation facilities for agricultural fields in all districts of western Rajasthan. He added that Madhya Pradesh provides a very favourable environment for investment, and both states will move forward together in the country’s journey of industrial development.

Madhya Pradesh offers immense opportunities for industrial progress and investment

Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of Industrial Policy, Investment Promotion and MSME, informed investors that Madhya Pradesh is located in the heart of India and offers limitless opportunities for industrial growth and investment across sectors.

The state has made remarkable progress in new and renewable energy. Madhya Pradesh has 8 airports and about 1 lakh acres of land available for developing industrial areas. The state government has introduced new industrial policies focusing on ease of doing business, and investors are being offered capital subsidies of up to 40 percent.

There are vast opportunities in agriculture, dairy, and food processing sectors. Madhya Pradesh is also a leading state in the production of horticulture crops.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the first PM MITRA Textile Park in the textile sector at Dhar, where 1,150 acres of land has already been allotted to investors.

In the Babai–Mohasa Industrial Area, investments worth about ₹52,000 crore have been secured for 29 industrial units. A 1,500-acre special industrial area is being developed in Sagar, while a 1,000-acre Mega Industrial Park is being developed in Ratlam.

Good investment opportunities are also available in Vikram Udyogpuri and the Dhar Industrial Area. The state has implemented the Jan Vishwas Act and launched an investment portal along with a single-window system for investors. Companies such as Volvo have been expanding their business in Madhya Pradesh for many years.

Madhya Pradesh has taken a long leap

Shri K. L. Jain, President of the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that under the leadership of Dr. Mohan Yadav, industrial development in Madhya Pradesh is accelerating rapidly. The state has taken a significant leap forward and investors from across India and the world are investing there.

Industrial and social infrastructure in the state are developing simultaneously. He also noted that Rajasthan is working with Madhya Pradesh on the PKC (Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal) project.

Madhya Pradesh is also far ahead in wildlife tourism, and Rewa is the only place where the white tiger can be seen. He added that the Chief Minister maintains a friendly relationship with Rajasthan, and investors from Rajasthan are expanding their businesses in Madhya Pradesh. The state has also made notable progress in religious and health tourism.

₹1,650 crore investment in Babai–Mohasa Industrial Area

Shri Manish Gupta, Chairman of Insulation Energy, said that his company has invested about ₹1,650 crore in the Babai–Mohasa Industrial Area in Narmadapuram district, which will generate employment for about 1,000 people.

He said there were no obstacles in establishing the industrial unit across 45 acres of land, as all basic infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and water were already available. The project began in October 2025 and is expected to be fully operational by November–December 2026.

The solar cell manufacturing unit there will be among the best in the country and will contribute to building the energy of the future. He added that industrial development in the state is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

 Major startup investment from Rajasthan expected in Madhya Pradesh

Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Chairman of Rajasthan Angels, congratulated the Chief Minister and said that significant startup investments from Rajasthan will flow into Madhya Pradesh.

He noted that his company has set up the country’s first tyre recycling plant. In the era of artificial intelligence, data centres require affordable electricity, and funds from Abu Dhabi have shown interest in such investments.

Madhya Pradesh offers industrial electricity at about ₹4 per unit, making it attractive for investors. He also pointed out that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has visited Rajasthan three times in the last two months to attract investors.

During the Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh session, Shri Rajneesh Bhandari, Chairman of the Rajasthan unit of Confederation of Indian Industry, praised the policies of the Madhya Pradesh government.

Shri N. K. Jain from the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce thanked all investors participating in the session. Prominent industrialists such as Shri Devendra Singh Shekhawat, Shri Onkar Bageria and Shri Chandramouli Shukla (Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation) were also present.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also held one-to-one meetings with several industrialists during the Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh in Jaipur.
