Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office in Parliament House on Wednesday. He greeted the Prime Minister with a bouquet. Governor Shri Patel also presented a statue of Lord Buddha, brought from Sri Lanka, as a token of remembrance.
Governor Shri Patel briefed the Prime Minister on his visit to Sri Lanka as part of an Indian delegation that brought back sacred Buddhist relics to India. He also presented a book titled ‘Buddha Dharohar ki Sanskritik Yatra Bharat se Sri Lanka’, based on the details of the journey. He apprised the Prime Minister of the state’s progress and held discussions on various aspects of development.
