ChiefMinister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Sidhi district on Sunday and interacted directly with local citizens to assess the administrative system and the ground-level implementation of government schemes. He reviewed complaints raised by citizens and public representatives on various issues and sought detailed feedback on the functioning of the district administration and different departments during the public interaction.
Acting on the complaints received, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the immediate removal of Sidhi Collector Shri Swaroachish Somvanshi and the suspension of General Manager of the District Cooperative Bank Shri P.S. Dhanwal with immediate effect.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also directed the removal of Guna Superintendent of Police Shri Ankit Soni from his post, considering his role inappropriate in connection with the alleged irregularities involving cash recovered during a search operation in Guna district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that necessary action would also be taken at the government level regarding the complaints received from citizens. He stated that under the state’s commitment to good governance, negligence by officials and employees will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He emphasised that public welfare is the top priority of the state government. Camps are being organised across urban and rural areas as part of a campaign to address the problems of citizens. He further stated that he wanted to send a clear message to officers and employees that if they are unable to resolve public grievances while working in the field, they have no right to hold field postings.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav listened to the grievances of citizens and issued clear instructions to officials for their prompt and effective resolution during the public interaction. He said that the government is committed to ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes in a timely and transparent manner. He instructed field-level officers to work with sensitivity, accountability and commitment, adding that any negligence or indifference would be taken seriously and dealt with through strict and effective action.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also expressed displeasure over the slow progress of the under-construction Collectorate building in Sidhi. He directed officials to expedite the construction work and ensure its completion within the stipulated time frame while maintaining quality standards.
After the surprise inspection in Sidhi, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also held an interaction with citizens and public representatives at the local Circuit House. On the occasion, Member of Parliament Shri Rajesh Mishra, Singhawal MLA Shri Vishwamitra Pathak, MLA Smt. Reeti Pathak, along with other public representatives and administrative officers, were present.
